# Lithnet Docs Hub

Product documentation, setup guides, and support resources from Lithnet

Welcome to the Lithnet documentation hub. Here you'll find installation guides, configuration walkthroughs, troubleshooting resources, and reference documentation for all Lithnet products.

## Access Manager

Access Manager helps you eliminate permanent administrative access to your workstations and servers. Instead of granting standing privileges, users request access through a web app — retrieving LAPS passwords, activating just-in-time admin group membership, or looking up BitLocker recovery keys — with every request authorized, audited, and time-limited.

Its RapidLAPS feature integrates with the Windows logon screen, letting authorized users log in with the LAPS account by scanning a QR code or entering a PIN — without ever typing or seeing the password. Cross-platform agents extend LAPS management to Linux and macOS.

Access Manager is available in Community (free) and Enterprise editions.

## Password Protection for Active Directory

Password Protection enhances Active Directory password policy by checking passwords at change time against breached password databases, custom ban lists, and configurable complexity rules. It runs entirely on your domain controllers — passwords never leave your environment, and no additional servers or internet connectivity are required.

### What you'll find in the docs

* Installation and configuration guides
* Setting up breached password detection with Have I Been Pwned
* Configuring banned words, regex rules, and length-based complexity
* Auditing existing passwords in your directory
* Group Policy configuration reference

## Open Source

Most Lithnet tools are open source under the MIT license. Beyond our flagship products, we maintain a collection of tools for Microsoft Identity Manager — PowerShell modules, management agents for Google Workspace and Okta, automated run profile scheduling, and more.

Browse all projects at [github.com/lithnet](https://github.com/lithnet). Community contributions, bug reports, and feature requests are welcome.

## Getting Help

{% hint style="info" %}
Community users are supported through GitHub. Search the existing [issues](https://github.com/lithnet/access-manager/issues) or create a new one if you can't find an answer in the docs. Enterprise edition customers have access to direct support from Lithnet.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.lithnet.io/lithnet-docs-hub.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
